Omeno W. Suji is the current Managing Partner at Beryl Consult Limited. Mr. Suji holds a Master‘s of Arts degree in Development Communication and an undergraduate (Bachelor of Science – cum laude) degree in Education and Business Administration. His training and work in business, humanitarian and development environments has equipped him with unrivalled skills for seeing things through different lenses. He is a published expert in the use of participatory impact assessment (PIA) and other participatory methodologies. Suji has extensive experience in institutional strengthening and data collection using these methodologies with Suji has worked in the ASAL counties of Kenya in various capacities for over 10 years – monitoring and implementing humanitarian and development projects in all the ASAL counties. He served as a project implementer under the Refugee Assistance Programme in Dadaab Kenya, and as an evaluation expert under the defunct Regional Learning and Advocacy Project (REGLAP) a position that exposed him to development challenges facing ASAL communities of Horn of Africa region. He has worked with various ASAL institutions and was a member of the team that developed the EDE framework. He also served as a collaborative learning and adaptation expert for the USAID-funded Resilience Learning Project working in the Horn of Africa region providing not just actual learning environments for NGOs and CBOs working in the region but also undertaking various monitoring and evaluation missions in the region. He was part of a team of consultants undertaking a mid-term review of IGAD Drought and Disaster Resilience and Sustainability Initiative (IDDRSI).   Suji sits in various NGO and community organization boards including being former chairman of Kids Alive Kenya (KAK), former chair of the Global Board of Daystar University Alumni Association, Secretary of the Drylands Learning and Capacity Building Initiative (DLCI) Board, chairman Connecting Business and Marketplace to Christ (CBMC-Kenya), among others. Suji also runs personal businesses in agricultural and livestock production.
